D. C Lee was originally the backing singer for the famous band called Wham which was headed by George Michael and Andrew Ridgeley. C Lee was a solid part of the the Style Council she even later got married to Paul Weller and had 2 children to him Leah, and Nathaniel.
C Lee also did some lead vocals where she had some solo parts and of course she recorded her own song called see the day. You sung a good part on Head start for Happiness, the Lodgers, Change of the guard which were classic style council songs written by P. Weller. He voice soon became a trademark sound with the style council and her vocals complemented their songs very well.
On songs where Weller struggled to reach the high notes on songs like you’re the best thing, here is one that got away you filled in those parts when he had to sing them. He also covered Jam classics whilst with the style council and C Lee did the high voices for them tracks like that’s entertainment were one of those Jam songs which contributed too. Today in 2012 you hear very little of her other than a few bits and pieces.
The songs which he recorded with the style council are listed below. What talbot does today I've no idea:)
